It's really up to you , but if you don't want the same ol crate crap like so many do , then do Henry Ford a favor and put a damn Ford in that Ford ! Isn't that whats suppose to be in a Ford ?

it,s a hot rod put what you like in it be it gm,ford or mopar puting a ford in A ford is fine if that,s what you want but dumb if your doing it just because it,s a ford body and a few diehard,s that are ford fans say don,t put anything but a ford in it myself i would like to see a nailhead in it just my 2 cents but if you want to put a sbc in it great do it and have fun with with and laugh at the jerks that tell you that its boreing the boreing one is them

I got a 302 SBF in my 48, Montego rear (same as the Granada) and I love it. A little better cam and a 350 rear and you are GO.

I put a 260 Ford in my 42 sedan, had to find a Granada for the double sump pan and rearend, Chassis Engineering made great mounts for the motor and rear end, I did most of it in a cold garage over winter. It really worked well and was easy, first motor swap I ever did. Do the Ford or I'll

You are right about the Bronco pan and associated parts. Another alternative is the same parts from any FOX chassis Ford product. These would include V-8 Models of '78 and newer Fairmont and Zephyr, '79-93 Mustang, '79-'86 Capri (US), '80-'88 Thunderbird and Cougar, plus some '80s Lincoln Continentals, and others my pea brain won't conjure up at this time. Since there is so much coverage, with these parts, they may be easier to come by than the Bronco pieces.

Yeah, for God's sake you should only put a Ford in a Ford, that's what hot rodding is all about, don't be mixing brands, it's an abomination and it goes against the hot rod tradition!
Looks like if you want to be an individual now you gotta run a sbc.

    302 ford or 350 chevy

Why was the question posed? To get opinion from fellow HAMBers? Of those who gave an clear answer before the gentleman thanked them and agreed he would go with the Chevy, 12 HAMBers had said go with the Ford, 1 HAMBer had said go with the Chevy.

But I'm silver haired. Maybe math has passed me by. :D

You don't suppose the little rascal knew his answer all along? Nah.

I have a 302 Ford in my 35 Ford PU, a 390 Ford in my 49 Ford PU, and a 350 Chevy in my 34 Ford Sedan. Had the most difficulty getting the bracketry for the 302 Ford, but it is by far the best looking one of the three. The rear sump pan is an easy find for teh small block Ford.
