Man awesome build, loving it just killer.I have an oz 4 door sedan that I'm planning to transform to a 5 window coupe using a Essex roadster back ,as trying to find Pontiac rear is damn near impossible .

Lowered it 3/4" and reworked the radius up top...that's it.

Heres my Brothers 30 Ply. coupe. Thats kind of what was done on his window cut out and raised. I have a 31 ply also has the oval rear window. I was just wondering cause you talked about making the rear window all over but making it smaller.

just found this thread..i am impressed..i bought george's (35 masters) 29 coupe, and had the same idea of cutting the whole window out before chopping..great minds think alike..

although i may just roadster the whole deal, or even speedster it..

mine will be powered by a 8-71 blown 428 with cv-1 heads as an option..should make for one heck of a pontiac hot rod..

i am so excited to see someone doing this...makes me want to pull the coupe out of winter storage..

Great job, I love to make parts, youre doing good. What are the rubber bushings in the links, also in the motor mount? Shock rubber?

Those are energy suspension bushings. I get them from a lowrider supplier. They are made to go into 2" OD x 1/4" wall tubing.

Nice looking fab job for the rear suspension - don't forget to weld the underneath side where it attaches to the chassis though:D

So I didn't have a dash... Got a new toy and wanted to play. Baileigh planishing hammer. This thing rules. I had the infamus HF one before.. but I wanted more than 3 dies, and a muffler gun. Price was right on the Baileigh unit, and it came with 9 radius dies and a set of flats, for cheaper than I would be willing to machine them for. Really happy with this.

You can tell im single haha... big crate in the living room. still there today.
Super easy setup, bolt on the legs, air dryer and lubricator and done!
    So lets make a dash...
after some english wheeling to get it to the rough shape, I bead rolled some lines to match the pontiac cowl.

Using the Phammer to make this radius work.

    40's pontiac radio face.

    voila.
