online. they are just 3/16 braizer head rivets. I think i got these off that auction site.

  2. Cool. Thank you. I hate pop rivets.

  3. Great work! My only question is how the hell do you fit all those tools in a one car garage?! You mentioned you have an English wheel, lathe, welder and a bead roller. As a single car garage owner I don't see how you work it. Please fill me in. Keep up the great work!

So I have a lot of tools crammed in my basement. And a 12X12 or so room immediately behind my garage houses the lathe. It was a screen porch but I framed it in for more work area.

My buddy came over and helped me pound out the other seat tonight.

  7. Looking at this thread always makes me smile. I bet you still have people tell you that your Model A Ford looks nice when you finish the car even with all of the obvious Pontiac parts. :D

At least it's not a sedan, everyone calls my 31 Pontiac sedan a truck, or even worse, and SUV these days...

Looks great! Glad to see the build pics the whole way through. I'm guilty of never having a camera around. The fab work is incredible.

That's awesome. Not so much vintage just love the movie. I still ride once a month or so.

Thats cool. I ride when I can. Not so much trail or dirt anymore, they bulldozed all but one of the local trails. I sold off my race bikes, kept one 24" cruiser. I still suck at flatland but I enjoy it with the occasional trip to the skatepark. I am starting to thin my freestyle collection down now. This time last year I was at 42 bikes, I'm down to 19 now and want to get it closer to 10. All 85-88 era.

Here's one I restored over the summer...

    Hijack over... ;)

I think it looks good the way it is unchopped but I like them unchopped. I think your doing a great job. your metal work is great and your ideas are very old school. keep up the good work. Im subscribed

I know the oval rear window could be a real challenge, but to me the proportion of the car look better with the chop.

I think if you could "flatten" the oval rear window and keep the radii transitions smooth, it would look great. Perhaps you could fab the chopped shape in some sheet stock, then decide on the chop if your happy with the results. Great job by the way!

here is my new plan.... I just ordered the material and will machine a set of dies for my bead roller.... going to just make a new oval window.. smaller.
