still knocking away at it. got the steering somewhat figured out. would have like to keep the steering column and box one piece but that damn starter on the nailhead wasn't having it. so still at it haven't gave up yet almost hit 8years next month boy o boy
Still plugging away at the floors one step closer. The ol lady worked on fitting the flipped firewall feet back on and couple cosmetics while i got some welding done to the rear spring hump and rear wheel wells. Also going to use a vw bus steerjng bracket to hold the f1 steering box.
Well haven't updated the build for a while. we have flipped the firewall and welded it back into place. got the front floor welded to the new floor. after working on the floor and fire wall we decided to change it up and knock out so other small stuff that needed to be done. So, the girlfriend made the final version of her taillight mounting brackets using fender mounting holes. i notched the front of the frame to keep the front spring from bottoming out on the frame when i jumped on it and tried to mockup where the f1 shock mounts would go. they need to be heated and bent. by no means winning a race but getting some littles
well back for more. got couple hours while grilling dinner last night. progress is progress. got the f1 shock mounts heated and bent. also snagged some new shocks.
got a little more done so far. finally got the hole drilled for the steering column. so mocked that up to see how it all worked out. while I was knocking that out the column the better half started to make some mounting brackets for the front pan hard bar.
