What are you doing about painting the bottom of the body? I am trying to figure out how best to do that with mine.

do you mean the frame? Car body is completely painted, frame is staying black. Wanted to do something a little different than most of the highboys where the frame was colour matched. Have seen a few pics where the frame was left black and i like the look. Body is shiny enough that it's a decent contrast. The frame is a semi gloss which the pics don't show real well. beauty is i can always change it down the road if i don't like.

I’ve seen guys use a 2K bed liner, seals up the body well. I think it’s called Raptor. It’s a brush on application.

Underneath the body has been completely epoxy sealed as was the entire car before poly primer.

Well they already smile when I idle up the street with the 500 ponies under the hood of the Camaro so they should really like the sweetness of the coupe!! Gonna rock the white tshirt with the sleeves rolled up and have the hair straight back!! Oh wait I don’t have that much hair left! Damn

Got the bulk of the dynamat in. I say dynamat like kleenex. The stuff I have used is called kilmat. Got it off amazon for $65 and free shipping for a 50sqft box. It’s the same thickness of the actual dynamat that I used in my camaro. Man it sure makes a difference. Money and time well spent. Still have the doors and floor pans to do. Keep on pushing!!

Lots of little stuff done this weekend. Biggest thing I got all the front suspension dialed in tightened up and greased. Installed the front brakes. Love how the painted drums and backing plates look. Pops just right against the satin frame. Backs are already in but I have to get the ebrake cables set up and I want to double check everything. Made a nice big list of all the next stuff I want to tackle.

That’s the fun part about being at the stage I’m at now! I can finally put these parts that I’ve been staring at for so long on the car!!

Ticking stuff off the list in the last few days. All the brakes sorted out and brakes lines all back in. Bench bled the MC and put back in the car. Will bleed everything tomorrow and have brakes for reals!!! Fuel lines all back in, installed some signal lights with some lights I modified. Not sure I’m in love with them but gotta have something so for now they’ll do. Freshly baked intake in mommas oven and even put on some shiny parts! New posi and gears arrived from quick performance yesterday. Gonna be running 4.11’s. Waiting for the glass to arrive still. Even got the boy washing tires for me getting all that bodyshop grunge off em! Gonna start wiring next week. Much to do!!

Love that moon fuel log, is that flex joint in the exhaust stainless? If so how did you weld it. Really coming together well, enjoy the process.
Hurry up tho, will ya ?
