Hand is much better. Was back at it clumsily after a few days but I'm about 100% now. We actually woke up to snow yesterday morning! Gone by the afternoon but still, I am beyond sick of it. Needs to warm up! Stay gold pony boy!

  5. Been driving my A Bomb all winter when there wasn't snow on the ground. Finally washed the brine off it last week.

Got the corners of the firewall inset closed in. Still need to clean up the bottom and edges. Also did the swirl polish on the dash insert. Happy with how it turned out and looks. picked up this caravan seat that I will get recovered and replace all the plastic shit on. Decided to go this route vs the seat I had built. Tough to beat this seat for $75!

Now that it's all welded up...does that leave you enough room to get the valve covers off?

  10. lol. Been there, done that...... Redone that.......

Ha ha ya that would suck eh?! Yes we mocked up the recess with the motor in place so no issue getting them or the dizzy cap off etc. I have definitely done some work on this build that I had to change or redo. Happens to everyone. If they say it doesn't then they're full of shit!

I believe it was a 2000 or 2001. Fits like a glove and I like that it has the hideaway cup holders. I will have to fab up my own riser. I will probably pick up some sliders. Replace the plastic with steel pieces then get the seat recovered in leather. A buddy of mine owns an upholstery shop in town so I am in good hands there.

Your coupe is coming along really well, I'm slower than you, but getting there.

It's the middle seat. The rear seat is quite a bit longer and wouldn't work.

My Dad fabbed up this mount in his lathe so we could use this old cap for the shift knob. Sorry brothers south of the border, gotta say made in Canada! Ha ha. Found the cap at a swap meet and paid $10 for it. It will sit lower than it is sitting right now, this was just a test fit. Picked up the new tranny and got it bolted to the motor so I could do final mock up on the tranny crossmember. I had to lower the crossmember from where it was just slightly as the tail shaft was hitting the top crossbar support on the frame. Easy enough just had to do some chopping and welding. Also got the cowl vent mocked up and tacked in. Love how it looks, just adds something to the car so happy that it's in. Busy next couple weeks as I have to put the coupe off to the side for a bit. I am doing a total brake job on my Dads corvette and then the camaro comes out to play as well. This all has to happen in my little shop so going to be musical cars for the next while!

  20. Love that last picture - unchannelled, unchopped but low enough to have a bad attitude. Just how I intend to build mine. Like your shift knob, too!

Got the seat mounts built and bolted in at the height I am happy with. Low and comfy! Plan on using the package tray as well so happy with how everything lines up. Christmas came early too as the manifold finally arrived. Thing is basically mint so super happy with this buy!

That seat is working out really well. What year did you get that out of ? I just picked one up out of craigslist and it's too wide. Looks just like yours, but wider. Thanks

42 inches Dino. That is measured to the width of the handle to tilt the back down.
