30 31 roadster body width ?

    looking to maybe pick up a 31 ford roadster body ...will it fit in my chevy stepside,it is 48 in strait up..how wide is the widest point of the body at the doors...i can bring wood to block the body up some...any one ?? thanks sawbuck

    Model A bodies fit perfect in the back of my F250. good luck

    On my roadster its 47" at the bottom of the back of the doors and 52" midway up the doors.

    Hi, I've got about 54" across the doors on mine, so it's gonna be too big. I'd put some boards across the top of your tray and sit it on those.

    I had to wedge it in my Toyota pickup, but it fit without blocks. I just let it sit on the wheelwells.

    brought a 31 coupe body from Indiana to Detroit in the back of an F350. tailgate closed and everything.
     
  10. Stepside is going to be iffy. A Model A roadster floorpan fit in the back of my old '89 Suburban, width no problem, but it came just about up to the back of the front seat. It would fit in an 87-back stepside bed okay, the 88-98 ones seem like they're narrower.
