Looks like a well thought out & detailed rod, 3 years so far??.. Like expensive vintage wine, sweet rides like this, take time! Be proud, you have a winner there, Terry!
just started chopin 34 ford truk 5 inch chop in the back 5 .5 front suicide doors with 58 impala dash and a slight channel lol
Wow nice ride, cool motor.Too bad Pinkies used your color and got the car famous. Now get ready for dudes asking if this is the car Pinkies built,LOL.You can say mine was painted before the one they built. They copied mine,LOL.
doin the interior was something else i tell ya i cant sew so i had that part done lol and i dont think i would take up sewing either
Your car is great! I love the green and the stance. (the 409 ain't bad either!) Really gives me some ideas to start the planning for the final build of mine. Of course I will be happy just to get the "temporary" build done first! LOL
Dear 65 I like your ride very much; great choices, especially the rare engine and color. Don't feel bad I have now taken 5 times longer to complete my hot rod compared to you. Good luck trakrodstr
Most builders would be happy to see a pic of their ride in a hot rod magazine or better yet a feature on the build. But not too many hot rodders can say their car was on the cover of a national magazine. H.A.M.B. member Thierry (aka Terry) Kozlovic's ultra cool '28 Ford is on the cover of this months Canadian Hot Rods! ! Check it out! http://www.canadianhotrods.com/ Way to go, Terry!!
Your Model A is deserving of the coverage, but the real fun will be when the rubber hits the road! I'll be leaving for the GoodGuys event in Puyallup, Wa this coming friday. Maybe I'll see you there and if i'am really lucky that 409 '28 Model A!
WOW! That really looks sweet! Mine was more of a remodel. I tried to tae what I had and save it from the status of Rat Rod!!!!! I plan on building my own '31 on Duece rails sometime in the near future.
Terry, Trakrodstr here. Thanks for the personal message. I finally made time to check out your project thread...you're 5 times faster that my project! Good for you. I wish I could add something novel to the other HAMBer's comments, but they've just about covered everything. My favorite feature is the 409; hooray for non-conventional engines. That unforgettable 348/409 valve cover really takes me back to my teenage years. I lived near Service Chevrolet in Pasadena. One of the guys who worked there as a line machanic was: Don Nicholson aka "Dyno" Don. He really carved a wide path at San Gabriel, Pomona, and San Fernando Drag Strips in his S/S 409 Chevy winning the NHRA Winternationals in '61 and '62. With this success Dyno Don went on to the big time as a Ford Factory racer. Drag race fans of my age will never forget that "fine 409". Of course I also like green Model A's but our two cars could hardly be more different...in a good way. Your shade of green is perfect for your concept and the white "frosting" is outstanding. I hope our paths cross sometime, I'd love to see your ride "in person". I will likely drive my roadster back to its "birthplace" in Missoula in the next few years; who knows, I might show up during the Spokane Goodguys weekend. Keep up the gorgeous work and congratulations on building a hot rod that will bring a smile to thousands and thousands of happy faces. Trakrodstr aka charlie
