Great meeting you and Maria too Eliot. Pictures of your car are on the assembly line and will be posted in the next few days. Thanks John for the info.

One of the great thrills of this 3rd RJR was getting to see the real, live, original Polynesian - the '50 Olds originally built by Valley Custom and now owned by Gene Blackford who also restored it to its early 50's original look and glory. My picture really does not do it justice, but it was in a less than ideal spot inside Pimlico with a lot of clutter and people around it in pretty hot direct sunlight.

1927 Model T Roadster. I met the man who owned this but damned if I remember his name now. A great guy and car.

Always great to see you Dr. Dave! Too bad it was so hectic - I am sure there would have been lots of culinary delights to find and just hang out and have fun in general.

Thank you aircoup! I will try to make it worth your while.

Here is a retro sepia version of the roadster immediately above. Another car I would love to have to myself to pose and photograph properly.

The car everyone is most likely to see at a car show - Bob Klessig's well traveled 52 Chevy ragtop paired with Dennis O'Brien's 34 Ford Panel Delivery.

You're welcome Dennis. It was great seeing you again as well. Thanks for checking out my RJR thread.

Here are 2 really cool but definitely different 36 Fords. The coupe is owned by Bobby Cullipher and the convertible sedan by Al Casteen.

Dan, the coupe belongs to Bobby Cullipher and the convertible sedan is mine. We came up from Virginia and are members of the Portsmouth Street Rod Association that was founded in 1974... and still going down the highway; on the road repairs as necessary! We've normally been pretty blessed in our many years of driving our old cars and trucks but my luck ran out in Baltimore as we had to replace a rear brake line on the convertible sedan... who would expect a pinhole in a factory line on the rearend?! Lesson learned it to take a closer look when installing a later model rearend. Don't "assume" they are in good shape like I did when I replaced the rearend in 2009 from a 1977 Granada.
I owe a big THANK YOU! to Pat McNeal and his merry band of helpers who got me back on the road safely. I'm sorry I had a problem but am really glad I got to meet some more great people.

  17. Dan,
The one thing I really like about the photos you shot is what all the BRICK STREETS added to the photos.....So cool & something you don't see much any more.

Er... them ain't bricks; they is cobblestones! The got here by serving as ballast in old sailing ships MANY years ago.
I do mightily agree with you that Dan's pics are great!
    More, please.

Thanks a lot both for visiting, your comments and supplying owner info - Al ( I knew one of the 36's was yours but since I always ran into you when you were not by your car, I wasn't sure which. Glad your car made it back.) Thanks again 383Deuce - Fells Point is a fantastic backdrop for hot rod and custom pictures. Thanks to you too, Dana Red.

If you run across Al Consoli ( Conzoli ? ) again talk photograhy with him - should be a interesting conversation.

Thanks Speedwrench. I do know Al and we have talked quite a bit but mostly about cars. This time it was about what went into making the 32 shown above.
