Thanks very much for the comment and the owner info jackandeuces. There will be yet one more of your car before all is said and done.

  5. Okay Dan, forgive me if this is a stupid question, in this last photo, have you played with the colours or is that all natural ? Why I ask is that the paving bricks look so darn neat and the contrast against the red brick pavers across a bit looks so neat and that is all noticed before I take in the fanastic car.

Well Mark - I definitely warmed up the colors a bit and also increased the contrast and texture a bit. The original picture - shown here - was shot under pretty grey light.

Thanks a lot for your great comment Al. Also thank you chrisp for the note on the car which indeed was patterned after a Bugatti Type 57.

Here is something you will almost never see me shooting, let alone showing, and that is a car with its hood up like this. I loved this 37 Chevy so I had to do it. Another thing here is that this picture has not even had 1 second worth of touch up done to it.

I still say it is magic! Dan is just trying to throw us off! There are a few other magicians on the HAMB as well.

When I see magic I don't want to know how it's done...............I want it to remain magical.
I have stated this before, I never tire of viewing your work and most grateful for the time you put into posting to share with all of us.
    Thanks for the magic Dan.

Thanks very much for that Al and i.rant. The time factor is a big part of it - hence the reason I'm still working on them and posting more than a month after the event.

  14. I too really appreciate your skill and time that you put into each and every photo Dan and I only hope that I can try and replica your skill in just taking the photo's to take full advantage of the main subject the camera is pointing at.

Thanks a lot Dennis. I definitely appreciate that. It is such a cool and photogenic car in a very photogenic setting.

Here is a totally different 32 during the low light photo session.

Dan, I am glad you got a picture of my 32. I loved the shot you took of my blue 41 Willys last year. We were going to try and bring our 32 Studebaker Rockne this year, but ended up not being able to bring it. Maybe we will try to bring it next year and have something totally off the wall. We have had a great time the past two years in Baltimore. Your shots are always terrific to view.

Thank you Kevin. I am glad I ran into it. Thanks Don for continuing to follow the thread.

I liked the Darth Vader look to this 1936 Chevy built by Matt Tibbett. I would love to photograph this when it's finished in a different environment.

  24. I can help you with the 36 when it's done. Matt has put a tremendous amount of time and metal work into it. I will let him know. I believe paint is in the plans for this winter. Thank you for the great pictures. I'm still waiting for mine. ....

Thank you so much DirtyDave, Don (lothiandon1940), neverdun and Dennis(383deuce). neverdun - I don't recall getting one of your green roadster this year, but I have said that before only to embarrass myself and find out that I did and just didn't remember - so I will check.

Here is the Shoebox row - all 50's owned by Pat Guthrie, James Guthrie; Jim Wallace (?) and Steve Kopchinski.

And neverdun - it looks like I was wrong - I think this is yours with a few changes since the last time I saw it. Or else one that is very close to yours in a lot of respects.
