Next question. The heads and intake are VERY old. Were talking 50s-60s old. Im thinking of cleaing them up slightly, but not polishing them. Thoughts?

  2. Polish the shit out of them.

I'd be temped to not even clean them, just throw the whole rig togather as is dont even paint it, but then again a good media blast should clean up the alum

hey matt, you got a shifter for a top-loader? i need one.

  8. I'm with Shaggy, don't do a thing to clean it. Assemble it as is. But then you posted the pix of a red cowl.

  9. Hmmm I might. I seem to remember I have a truck shifter. I'll have to look.

Bad Ass....I dig the whole thing...I would say to just clean up the intake, but the way you build, tear down, build again, tear down again, build again, etc, etc, etc. You'll have plenty of time to clean, and or polish it next time!

So i scored a bunch more parts for this thing and started kinda tinkering with it.

First off i made a hub puller for the wide 5 rear hubs. Works like a champ!

Then found an add on C-list and got the following...

    Radiator. Recent Re-core.

    rear wish bones

    40 column and wheel

47 truck box for the cross steer... Took it apart and made a new lash adjuster

And i picked up some treads. 5.00 front and 6.50 rear. Got the fronts mounted.

more like the "8ba's suck in early cars cause the fan is out there a goddamn mile and you cant run early pullys cause the dizzy hits the belts so the only option is to pucker your cheeks and shove the motor back" look

    Couple of things:
    1) Great choice in wheels and caps...they look sweet
    2) Looks great with the fenders.

There is a cool yellow RPU in the movie Follow Me Boys with Fred McMurray. Has a nice little fold down top.

Ghost, im gonna use the same style rear suspension that Hitchhiker is using on his A. Need to find some model A bells to cut the spring perches off of .

    Open drive??? that aint right!!!

As for the axle too far forward, flip the bells and go spring infront, then z the frame and shorten it at the same time, or ya could even fab it into a kickup

    Heres some actual progress! Whoo!

Played around a whole bunch with different ideas of suspension, and finally got it a roller.
