if you want a molding between the roof and quarters, try using [2] '30-'31 ford one ton truck cowl bands.
they are stamped steel not stamped stainless... radius is very close...

Bout to chop another 3 3/4” out and drop the rear window down a little to keep it useable. Already has a 2 1/4” chop.

Thanks. It’s a Hoods CC sticker. I’m a member of the Australian chapter

Braced the body and chopped the top off yesterday. Went pretty well for my first time and working alone.

Got the roof tacked back on and did a relief cut up the rear corners to get it lined up. Gaps are pretty good and will be easy to tig.

The rear window panel was installed by a previous owner as it’s a special coupe. Will take a bit of work to clean it up.

I post this feeling a positive nostalgia...
these aussie builds remind me of the old days when we yankee rodders had to build our own parts as there were very few re-pop parts...
we had it good as when we were there the yards were full of donar cars …
the aussies are building 20 years after the donars have been donated...
scrounging and fabricating are the needed skills... GO AUSSIES GO !

    I listed the Aussies…
but most rodders not in the USA and Canada are fishing in the same pond...

My wife touched up the paint on the roof to. Really happy with how it turned out and the rear window looks nice after dropping it in line with the side windows.

I've posted this before but if you don't have the roof to quarter molding check out the '30-'31 one ton truck cowl bands... they are steel not stainless so you can work them... they fit the radius well and should be cheap... you will need [2]… HIH.

Cut the header panel down and mounted it about 2” higher than standard to keep the front glass larger

Finished off and got a few nice pics. Made a push bar as well. That’s all for this one as it’s now sold. Time to build the wife’s roadster.
