A little or a lot. Depends on the market in your area. $250-450.

Not as much as you would like to get for it. For most guys on here all that they would use is the block, crank and rods as the two barrel intake and heads don't allow for much extra performance. If a guy can start it up and hear it run probably around 250/300, Maybe closer to the 450 that Pasadenahotrod mentioned if it has good oil pressure and good even compression and a guy can stick it in a car and run it. if you can't hear it run 150. I know the mouthbreathing hord will say it's worth way more but they still are pretty common in most areas.

Down here a stock 283 goes for $300 to $400 most of the time. Lot of ads advertizing them for $1000 but they are still looking at them.

I tried selling a 58 283 on cl for $250, then 200, then 150, finally got a few calls but no one came to look at it. Hope you have better luck.

It will take a very special buyer to want it, ie a traditional hot rodder or maybe someone restoring a car from that period who wants to keep it original. Most people would opt instead for a more powerful, later design 350 IMO.

That being said, if you can find the right person and it turns free, you might score a few hundred for it.

The 57 resto guys go for the one year 57 283 with no side mounts as correct for the Corvette and passenger cars. You can get a few bucks for them. I have three. I have a 64 I plan to put in my 55 shop truck. I just like em.
