I am looking for the seal type material that goes around the gas tank edges in the 28/29's. What are y'all using to seal the seam?

    Thanks,
    Jay

  3. They used to sell a cork rubber strip with holes in it. Maybe you could use that sort of gasket material and make some yourself ??????

Thanks Guys, I knew it had to be simple, I was thinking of bicycle inner tube. If there is a "right" product, I'de rather... Not leak on my feet.

I think originally they used something like old fashioned friction tape. I put a very thin bead of RTV on my 30, just to keep it from squeeking.
