    BUTCH RUBINO

    I DON'T HAVE A VEHICLE BUT I HAVE A FORD 272 Y BLOCK IN MY 1957 BOAT.
IT HAS 2 CARTER YH SIDE DRAFTS. MY PROBLEM IS THE ENGINE SETS AT A 17.5 DEG ANGLE. MOST BOAT ENGINES ARE 8 DEG AND CARBS (2 OR 4 BARREL) ARE WEDGED.
I CAN.T WEDGE THE SIDE DRAFTS. MY QUESTION IS I HAVE A 4 BARREL INTAKE, CASTING #ECZ-9425A THAT I MIGHT NEED A ADAPTER PLATE FOR BECAUSE ITS FOR A T POT STYLE CARB. THE BIGGEST WEDGE FOR A 4 BARREL IS 12DEG. IS THAT GOING TO BE ENOUGH FOR CARBURATOR FLOAT ADJUSTMENT?
