I am looking for pics of the floor area in a 27 t coupe. I am putting a 48 truck flathead with the 48 manual trans from the same truck in it. To get the engine looking somewhat right with the placement, and to get the shifter to clear the dash, I have shoved it back pretty far. Foot clearance is going to be tight for 3 pedals.
    Thanks
    Scott

  4. As far as the shifter you can always reshape it so it comes backward more.

With the engine that far back, you have no room for your steering. I would move the engine further forward.

    Pic helps.
I figure channelling will make things just that little more tricky to fit, but I am sure it has been done before.
You could reverse or shave the firewall if that would help you.
What are your plans for pedals?
Do you prefer to hang then or have them thru the floor?

that is a understatement - just will require a lot of mock up trials using anything you have around to simulate the actual parts to be used- every ride will be different
