Has anyone here used a '25 turtle deck on a '27 roadster? I've been looking for pics of a '27 Roadster with a '25 Turtle deck that I'm sure I've seen here before but I just can't find them. I would rather have a '27 turtle but if I can't locate one, there are '23-'25's still out there.

You will still have the unfinished edge showing where the '27 deck was supposed to bolt up to the body. It would look like a hodge-podge.

But, one of my favorite cars ever build was the opposite of what you suggest. Lil John Buttera built a '27 roadster with a '25 cowl grafted on. I remember seeing it at the Nationals in Memphis the year of the heat wave (1982-ish)

Dennis Frings did it, goes by "frames" on here.

@alchemy and @Jay McDonald, thank you for the replies. I was trying to see if it was going to be as awkward looking as I thought it might be. I really like the way the '27 turtle looks but I've got a lot of work on mine to get it right. I'm only going to do it once.

Here's a few examples including a couple photo shops.
I think it might work if you widen the early turtle deck. db_GG_RHEINBECK_ECN__09__516_1.jpg db_LE09__994_1.jpg No fenders.jpg fenders (2).jpg .

I apparently have zero good pictures of my car, but here's a few crummy blurry ones, a few before the tank and tail light lenses were put in, and a couple after. I did cut the deck up quite a bit, it's widened, and slightly longer and taller now. I think I've got in-progess pics of the cuts, too. It works, I like it, looks good in person but these pictures are shit.

I had the car out today and I got a couple of better quality pictures of the turtle deck on the '26 body. I think it works well with the added width. Another thing is the wheelbase, a lot of bucket style T's get an altered wheelbase that leaves the deck hanging off the back kinda awkwardly, but with the rearend towards the end of the deck I think that helps. That's what I like about the light green one above. Not sure I love the transition of the body where it molds into the tub but I do like the wheelbase on that car.
