I have not updated for ages been trying to finish the body.
Fitted the passenger bun panel rear edge today, only the front edge around the door and the other bun panel and I can send it to paint

Some of us have jobs that get in the way of Hot Rod builds! LOL

I registered for Hotrodarama so that I have a goal for getting this thing on the road. August 5th

Kelly flexed the plastic to get the tranny re-built on the Studie Should be ready today, so we can take it to the Blessing

    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamen

"Automatic's are for rat-n-street rods, and guys with arthritic painful just plain wore out left hips :D "

There , I fixed that for you. Too young for a hip replacement, tomorrow I get a big shot of cortizone.

    That's why my 26 RPU is getting a C4. :)

Your post prompted me to change my signature to “Auto’s are for rat rods” Because there are plenty of 50’s customs with automatics and that’s appropriate.
In my opinion putting an auto in a pre-war car delegates it to the “Rat Rod” class I feel that way about SBC engines, air bags and slamming it to the ground with a letter box roof chop too but hey that’s just me I am entitled to have my own opinions.

I am no Trad Nazi, I don’t mind using modern parts to make my Hotrod more useable in a modern driving environment. I am wiring indicators and have a 5 speed transmission for goodness sake; many Trad guys would class this as sacrilege but I want to comfortably cruise on the freeway and I don’t care what other people think.
Neither should you, do what you want with your car.

I absolutely agree. My 26 RPU will NOT be a rat rod. But it's getting the auto C4 to be useable and functional for me given my situation.

I got rid of my manual trans 04 Cobra and my manual trans 88 Ranger 4x4 for the same reason.

Bought me an 08 Ranger with auto trans as a DD.

Hey Blue one I was not trying to give you a hard time, of course there is all ways exceptions to a stereotype or it would not be a stereotype.
I am a design engineer by trade and i fight the Industrial Design guys all the time about form over function

Oh believe me I know you were not. And I can relate to your fight with the ID types, sometimes they don't have a clue :D

Have had no time to update blog or post I have been trying to make Hotrodarama working every weekend and every evening after work. Hopefully the maiden voyage will be to clearview car show just up the street from me on Saturday if all goes to plan.
    Here is a sneak peak

Friday i worked on my roadster for 20 hours solid went to bed at 4am up again at 7 for the ride to Tacoma.
I only wired ignition, charging and brake lights so had to leave before dark in the pissing rain!

Congratulations Pete. The car looks great. I hope the rain was the only problem.

Love this car, Bloodyjack. It makes me so impatient about waiting to start my project. I have to keep repeating to myself, "I must finish the 20 first..."

Love the "60 miles in the rain" picture. Reminds me of riding my old motorcycle from Newport, Oregon to Mukilteo in a non-stop rain storm. Never been so wet, or cold, in my life!

Everything's looking super. I guess you won't need a bath for weeks now. Driivng in the rain means you're a reall hot rod guy.

Can you tell us what the wheelbase is?
