  9. Wheels TV Videos take you on a ride in a Muntz Jet.
Guess what? the thing has a big Lincoln flathead.
I know from my young years that this engine makes a great engine and they back it up.

Here's one belonging to a couple in Missouri. This picture was taken at the Museum of Automobiles June swap meet on Petit Jean Mountain in Arkansas. This was taken in June; they started the restoration the previous November, and handformed a lot of the body panels with wooden mallets and shot bags.

Flathead Lincoln on this one, too.

Interesting story, interesting man, interesting the cars.
The Muntz biography would make a great movie. Should leave the "elevator rock'n'roll" out though!

I just sold a 53 Cad 331 to a guy from Northern California that has two of them. One is hotrod flavor with a sbc and the other is in the process of being restored.

When I was in college learning to be a panel beater, I had the pleasure of seeing way too much of the one that had been formerly owned by Rock Hudson. It was being restored by an elderly fellow in my class, real cool car. I would imagine its still hanging around with the original aston martin used in the bond movie, you know like the one in casino royale. It has been owned by an Icecream shop owner located on main street in Provo Utah. They are serious about they're Icecream you know. Another really cool car.

Earl Muntz is also the father of the 2 track tape auto stereo system.
Bill Lear drove one in LA, bought the rights - and started making 8 tracks for his LearJets, then cars, home stereos, etc.

(for those who don't know, Bill Lear started out designing circuits for Motorola)

The HAMB had an art challenge a little while ago and the subject of the challenge was to make something cool out of a MUNTZ JET.
Here's what I did. A "what if" take on how a competition JET
    might look.
