Haven't gotten lost.....still working on it .....had some medical issues to get through...as per New Years resolution, it runs and terrorizes the neighborhood and well before the end of summer. Getting the top wood done right now.

  9. Cool except for the springs, when they stretch they could interlock and not let the throttle return fully. In NZ it is a legal requirement on these cars to have dual return springs and this is the type they like, these are on my RPU. JW

...heck what's a man ta do steer with one hand and chew fingernails on the other...Seriously though that's one area that you seriously don't want things jamming...I actually have just one spring on each primary...they are new...:)

The dual springs work on both because they are linked progressively on the other side.

I actually have six carbs running only on the center two...I see you running two springs where I'm sure one is backup in case of failure. I actually ran a weaker spring as my foot was getting sore.

The spring within 26 T is running is also based on safety I get it.

Just bought a heavy duty upholstery sewing machine. I gonna attack the interior on my own. I figure with my wife's sewing experience (she's game) and the cost of having it done for me it should turn out to be a worthwhile learning experience. (Got a book!)

Great fix on the return springs and I'm glad to see the yellow jacket wires get replaced with black ones. now...about that see through distributer cap and the red fuel lines...;)

  23. The cap went west before I started the motor and it never had red fuel line but has steel now. :D JW

Tell me your thermostat housing was undone for service too...

It does highlight the importance of pics or it didn't happen...I appreciate concern. The eyes of the membership along with the knowledge base is amazing...as in we don't miss much.

  25. Not wanting to clutter Phil's great thread. The above pic of my SB Chev was still in setup mode several years ago, this is it now.:) JW

Probably vinyl for practicality but I sure like the Indian blankets from the late '40s.

Your car looks great Phil. I hate to rain on your parade, but I found a video on Youtube by Classtique Upholstery on installing a headliner on a T sedan and these folks do it before doing the outer cover. I'm doing up a T coupe and purchased their headliner kit and am anxious to see how you do yours.
