Done two. One on my homemade pickup and the other on a coupe.
Works good with little affect on floor/foot space.

I reversed the upper half to keep the engine tight to the body.

i know it's not a 26-27 model T, but it is a Y block with 6 carbs like i plan on running in my coupe and it also has the same master cylinder i have although it's mounted on the wrong side.

my Y block in mock up. not in picture is a grant flamethrower distributor. i obviously need room for it, but i'm worried if it's too deep in the recess, will i have trouble removing it if i have to. looks like Anders' distributor on his dodge hemi is close.

a recess won't work on my build, i need a flat surface and space to mount a master cylinder. i need to reverse the firewall.

I got about a inch betven the dist and firewall.
To remove the dist on my Dodgemotor i ned to lift it about 9/16 and then i can wiggle it and remove.
If i cant do it with the distcap it would not be a problem without it.

    it does look close.

i think i'm worrying about nothing. the Y block distributor sits lower and is angled off to the side. it appears i can pull it out without it hitting but remember, it's a flamethrower so i won't have the option to remove the cap if it comes close.
