Technical 250 In-line 6

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by William Griffith, Oct 19, 2018.

  1. My mounts won’t work they are from the 91 with the old ironduke 2.5. I wish tho.
I ether half to move radiator forward or cut a hole in the firewall to make this beast fit...

I have to agree the carb needs a good soaking and rebuild. One quick check is light tap the carb and try it. I had a 2 barrel acting up with fuel rapped it one time and great from then on. :D

  10. O.k., now it's beginning to make sense! Try Langdon's Stovebolt 6, seems like he used to offer mounts to swap out the old 216 with the later 230, 250 & 292's. If he doesn't have them, I'm sure he will point you in the right direction. He's a real nice guy! His web Site is www.stoveboltengineco.com.

Not much room in your, um, '51. Plan on some serious clearancing with a hammer for that trans, even a turbo 350 will require it. It sounds like the radiator will need to move ahead also, google the engine measurements if needed. Those are great motors, I loved the ones I've had.

No...you're thinking about Lynchburg Tennessee, home of Jack Daniels whiskey.
I'm from Lynchburg Virginia, home of Fleet Enemas.
