My bad - I meant how much diameter of the original shaft was left after it was reduced for a double -D coupling?
I didn’t grind the steering shaft I used a joint with a 3/4”round opening on one end and a DD on the other. The steering shaft is a touch bigger than 3/4” so I opened up the joint so it would slide down over the shaft Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
