Perfect. That car deserves a QC. I'm glad you pulled the trigger.

It's a shame that banjo rearends cannot readily be narrowed That is the main reason for using the 9" rearend..............that one is a piece of cake to narrow. The reason I mention this is to my eye your rearend is a tad too wide but not something that can readily be addressed. Offset wheels could improve the spacing between the inside of the tire and the turtle deck......... just a thought. This build is so bitchin I doubt such a small issue will even be noticed when it's finished and on the road. Can't wait to see this one finished.

  4. I like the sounds of that. I love the addition of the quick change, but agree that it looks a little wide. I think some chromed pipes will fill the space perfectly.
It'll be a functional use of space, as opposed to a fix that fills space solely to fill space. (Not sure if that makes any sense.)

Either way, this little roadster is awesome!

This is one cool little T. Do I need to finish the con rods for you?

Could you give me two measurements from your car please.
The rear track, and the distance between the sidewalls at the rear.
Because of you, I have just bought back some of my T sheet metal after selling it all a while back. Thanks, I think!
    Cheers,
    Stewart.

It's just the way it is. The traditional rear end is that wide and the traditional T body is that narrow. The traditionally correct wheel tire combination is not about filling space that is created when all else is right. It is how it has always been. It looks like it supposed look and leaves just enough room for a cool exhaust system.

  15. Very good build and some very good ideas with excellent fabrication skills.

I really like early '20's T's especialy track inspired one's from the 40/50's and love 303 olds motors....perfect combo for me!

I'd love to build a replica of the Spalding Track T....Some day

I wish I had skills. :( That is going to look good. I just got my tubing bender and there is a bead roller out there somewhere but I need some dies.

Did your top rails on the quarters not have the bead? My body had the bead but no folded over edge (I had to make that) and I have seen some that are folded over from the factory. I thought mine was a 25 but if yours is a 24 they should have been the same. Ford did some weird stuff back then. Really nice work on the patch by the way!
