Is the thermostat housing on a 1954 235 Chevy the same as anything else? Like a SBC. Mine is cracked and I was hoping to be able to pick one up locally.

Its from a 54 truck if it matters.

    THANKS!

  2. I got one from a 235 you can have. Let me know. I believe the are the same as SBC, Todd

the 235 has the hose pointing almost straight up, the small blocks generally angle forward or to the side. Plus the hose is kind of small on the older engines like that

You might try one for a 230-250 Chevy 6 for a PU type app.

I am having some new 235 thermostat housings cast that have outlets on the driver side for heating the intake with water. Still a few weeks out, but that might be an option.
