Technical 235 bellhousing

    What bellhousing would mount a 4 speed saginaw to a 57 235 6 cylinder Chevy? Any help would be appreciated Thank you

    The one that came on the engine if it was a 3 speed. Any '55 up will work, but you need the one that aligns with the mounts on whatever it is you're putting the engine & trans into.

    Also, 49-54 pickups have the same bolt pattern as 55 up. Nice if your working with a pickup chassis, mounts work and changes to open driveline.
    Back in the day the pickup trans case was used to mount SBC 8s in a car chassis retaining the torque tube. New mounts of course, but not driveline changes.
