Event Coverage '23 World of Wheels, Omaha

I'm gonna get this started and anyone who wants to contribute can post, hopefully with photos.
First photo is Tdog and his dad waiting in line to get in. The trip downtown from south of town was not too bad. My car threw mud on the sides and decklid but it cleaned off with paper towels.
We weren't sure if we could get in on Wednesday but Thursday weather is supposed to be bad and as lot of us didn't have access to a trailer. We needn't have worried because they waved us in with no sweat. Got started on cleaning up our cars. I sent a short video of Tdog's coupe to Tim, finding his parking spot inside. I can't post video but sometimes Tim will do it for me onna counta I'm stupid about these things. View attachment 5

Buddy’s custom 60 made the trip north today

 

Woke up to snow this [Thursday] morning. I'm so glad I got my car in the show yesterday! View out my back sliding door. Snow is still coming down.

 

Phew got in by that much! Glad you got inside before the snow. Bet that results in a lot of traffic at the warm indoor car show

 

After I got my car all spiffed up, I walked around and clicked a few photos of HAMB worthy cars. Thursday is a great time to do it because the public hasn't arrived yet.....Behold.

 

Looks like all your rowdy friends are comin over! Should be a fun weekend

Yeah, Stan is right. Rob built it for his dad. Rob's son has his flat white '48 F-1 in the show. I'll post a photo of it later.

 

Rob and his kid are true die-hard hot rodders. Why can`t I remember his son`s name who also has a 39-40 Merc sedan.

Yeah I knew he built it for his dad I just wasn’t 100% sure that that was the car. I gotta make it up some summer day and see all you guys. Been a long while

Ride home from the show was cold [30*] but it was nice to drive my coupe. Here's a photo of tdog filming a segment of South Omaha Speed with his dad and himself with John doing the camera work. I even got in the background for 5 minutes or so. And a photo of my car reflecting in Dave's 36 5 window. I even won a 1st place award for my class, "nostalgia". Was a great weekend.
