216 to 235 exhaust/intake

will intake and exhaust manifolds from a 216 work with a 235?

 

As I recall, they'll fit, but the 216's ports are smaller that the 235's and will restrict flow. You'll be better off to find the right parts, which shouldn't be too hard to do, especially in California.

 

thanks... i probably wont have the stock stuff on there for long cause im planning to put a offenhauser dual carb intake and some fentons but i was gonna keep the stock stuff until i can afford it...

 

Yes, the 216's have much smaller ports. Like TagMan said, they will bolt up. Seems like the carb flange might be smaller also, but I don't remember for sure.
