216 inline 6 help

I did a search and couldn't find anything on this.I have a 216 in my 53 and I put new points,condenser,button and cap on the motor turns over put will not fire so I am guessing I need to set the points on it.Does anyone have any info on doing this and maybe setting the timing on it too?

 

Point should be set at .016
Turn over by hand till the rub block of points is on the center of one of the 6 flats on the dist. shaft, then set points to .016

Rub block should be on the point NOT the flat area.

have you checked the coil? is it still 6 volt?

 

Thanks for all the help guys,the coil is good on it and it has been changed over to 12 volt
