Can you use a 216 exhaust manifold on a 235? Exhaust not intake.

Both work. Slightly different, but they fit.

It'll fit but I think the port sizes are smaller on the 216 manifold. There's plenty of meat there, you can enlarge the ports to match.

Why not just get the correct manifold?? There are plenty of them out there. And remember, if you are using the stock 235 intake, it will not bolt to the 216 exhaust manifold. Do it right.

You can't mix 216 and 235 manifolds because the angle of the parting line between them is different.

...also, the two studs nearest the head that go up through the intake manifold are a different spread on a 216 than on a 235/261.

The 216 comes away from the head about 1/4" less than the 235. If you try to mount the two different sizes together at the heat riser, it won't reach the head! You can put both together on a 235 from a 216 but you'll have to port the intake to accept the rings from the 235.

If you need a pair, let me know, I may have a set laying in the barn.

For the record, I put that 216 exhaust manifold on my 235 and it fit like a charm. Worked great. The intake bolted right on and in line.
