Stockton has become my go to swap meet since I moved back to the Bay Area. Turlock would have been good for my OT flip, but the weather has kept me working almost non stop. I did get my 59 on one of the Stockton fliers. Second time it's been in the Media IMG_20230122_155415.jpg

If you’re coming from a ways away, 60% chance of rain on Sunday for me, and I’m 20 miles from the Swapmeet.
Currently expecting .1 inch. Not a lot, but enough to get your head wet.

everyone just needs to watch forecast for Turlock - sounds like people need to aim for Saturday, which is always best day anyway.

Calling for high 50s, sunny Saturday and Sunday. Chance of rain Sunday evening. Going to be great swap meeting weather.

It also hasn't rained in Turlock in about a week....so the ground will be dry. Nothing worse than the mud there..its more like glue. Every year I worry about the weather for the Turlock swap...if it's going to be good or not. This year it'll be about as good as one could hope for. When it rains there it really impacts the swapmeet. So....super glad and excited that mother nature will allow a great swap!

Cleaning out the shop. Leftover parts from past projects. I'm bringing '32 Ford parts, old speed equipment, Model A stuff, and some cool parts from an old alcohol dragster.(Moon tank, pedal, steering wheel, gauges etc.) Guide headlights and '33-34 Ford commercial headlights. Space M-27. Stop by, visit, sit for a while, and give your feet and back a break!

I've got my trailer packed for Turlock! I sold there in '20 and '22, and there's always a lot of people looking, but I've sold more at some of the smaller local shows. Turlock is so big people don't stop to look at small stuff. Gotta have a few big and shiny things to draw em in. I've got some new stuff this year I think it'll be a good one! 20230125_175250.jpg 20230125_172547.jpg 20230125_172456.jpg

I haven’t been to the grounds in a few years, but don’t recall a polo field. Could they mean the arena? There was a lot there a time ago for entrants to park trailers. I’m thinking on the north end of the grounds, but I could be twisted around.

  15. Leaving in about 6 or 7 hours. Does the buyer parking start lining up before 6am? I might be there closer to 5am or so.

I think they mean the parking lot. There is a horse racing sports book there too. On the north end near Golden State Blvd. entrance.

The area where people stage to enter the swapmeet as a vendor is known as the polo field.

I went but only took pics of vintage bicycles. car prices in the cars for sale were nutty. ESPECIALLY 60's-70's trucks.
