Saw these posted elsewhere and thought I would get a thread started on them. If you have more photos go ahead and post them up. I'll get some tomorrow.

    I'm really digging #2 & #3.
#1 the paint color is not working for me; nbiether are the black wheels.
#4 & #5 are close, they just slightly missed the target IMO.
#6 I'm not sure, it's hard to tell from that photo, could be really nice; or could be street roddy, I'm not sure from that photo.
    #7, those wheels, uggghhhh...
#8 I have a friend who works at the shop (Kugel) that built it and he's put a lot of work on it. Not my favorite though. But that aluminum top has some fantastic metal shaping done on it. I'll see if I can dig up some photos of that as it was a work in process.
#9 looks pretty nice, not exactly traditional, but nice lines, decent color, yeah I'd drive it!

Numbers 2 and 5. #2 has great lines but there’s something about the look with the panel striping on #5.

The T (second one) is a complete and nifty car that your eye sees the car as one complete package. A couple of them just look like they were used as the background cars for wheel adds. Not real exciting cars that don't draw attention away from the wheels.

  9. I understand how getting a big trophy works. I'm very pleased some of those cars would not be allowed on the H.A.M.B! Just goes to show some people only have Taste in their mouth.

  10. I hate to say it but looks like a pretty boring bunch of same old same old. There is almost no originality in this competition anymore.

I like the pinstripe/panel paint job on the #5 car, it stands out. I like the W engine and steel wheels on the #1 car as well. I'm going to say those two are my favorites.

What!!!!!!?????? No 33-34 roadsters in the group this year? Ok then, the 36 gets my vote. If I had one to give.

I agree with ya. Very nice Roadster's but I'm missing the "wow" factor with this group. What do I know, I'm a Kustom guy....

That's what's not agreeing with me. Maybe it will be different when I see it in person

  17. #1 and #2 are my picks.

As much as I like '32 Ford they all are too over the top for me!

Probably not the most popular color but I like the first one, even though I relate more to 32's than model A's.
I'm sure the comments won't be much different ten years from now!

  20. I’d drive em

    even the ugly one

I agree at least they all look like roadsters. I’d 100% take any of these more subtle cars than a lot of the freak shows over the last couple decades

  23. The guys with deep pockets are building cars that appeal to the people that prefer the latest style in street rods, it is refreshing to see the early roadster, #1 on Deuce rails, simple yet tastefully done. HRP

I'm sure that they are all nice cars with lots of incredible workmanship. IMHO, #3, #5, and #1 could all easily be made more to my taste. Too much striping on #5. Bad color on #1.
I like #3, just needs a change of wheels, but if it was mine, I'd change the color and wheel/tire combo to something more late '50s-early '60s.
If I had to bet, I'd bet on the '36.

#1 -- chrome the exhaust manifold but not the valve cover? Sorta backassward.

I have to say that I don't care for the big and little trend on these cars. The rears seem cartoonish and freakishly tall on a couple. I like 29" or 30" but a majority of these appear to be taller than my OT PU. Just my opinion, I will keep building them the way I like but I won't get the big trophy.

@Bandit Billy i don’t think they are as big as you think. For frame of reference no one makes those pie crust cheater slicks taller than 28 ish tall

they are probably with in your standard 750-550/525 range

Like#1 the most. I'd have to do something different with the rims though. Not a big fan of the black color. Then #4. Again not a fan of the black rims.

  29. The bottom Roadster is really working the angles on the Judges. Notice the cute little Girl drives hat as well as the paint on the car is color coordinated with the GNRS show banner! Anything for a Trophy, right?
