Here are some of the Hamb friendly rides that were at the Old Steel Car show at the Central Washington AG museum in Union Gap today. It's an annual fund raiser for the museum that is open to anything the owner ponies up and entry fee for so the back ground cars may be a tad suspect at times. There was some cool Hamb friendly stuff there though.
The maroon Corvette looks like it stepped out of a time warp. I was ready to borrow a kid so I could ride on the little tractor towed train.
Well maybe one of the best for last. This little A roadster rocks my socks every time I see it somewhere. I did a couple of things I never usually do at a car show. I took photos of every registered vehicle in the show no matter what it was even the still had the right off the showroom floor show yesterday Mustang. Everybody got one photo today and the nifty stuff got more and the real nifty stuff got lots. I also almost always bypass any car in an outdoor car show with a show board in front of it and normally that is reason enough to not take a photo of it along with those damned lawn chairs parked in front of the car rather than in back of it but this event draws cars that you only see at this event once a year and then they never make another event all year long. I had a lot of fun today taking the photos, visiting with some rodder friends I have known since the late 70's and two of my first students that I had the first year I started teaching auto mechanics in 1978. Both are hard core car guys and have projects going.
