Thanks for the great pics, especially the last one.

 

It ran like a raped ape on the way over, but the next day it wouldn't idle right.
It just has no power below 1500 rpm, stumbles.

I made it home OK, runs fine above 1500 rpm.

I don't know where to start tinkering, new coil did nothing.

Shit,could be anything .I hate that kind of stuff. First thing , run a can of sea foam through it.Could be circuits stopped up on carb.Keep me posted.

Way cool. The shot of the maroon '40 pickup (wearing a '41 hood) is my brother-in-law's. My beater coupe can be seen in the background of that photo.

That pickup sits RIGHT!

 

Pulled the idle screws, shot the holes with carb cleaner and some compressed air - runs great!
