I attended this event and cannot praise the Drag-ens enough for putting this outstanding event on, it run like clockwork and was the best event I have ever attended here in Australia. Great pics by the way.....

Im with Gary D - I ans some fellow club members were invited to this event and was'nt sure what to expect, so we made the 2500km round trip to find out. It was a BLAST and so very well run. The spirit of the day was just to participate although Id have liked it to be more competitive with cars in classes but for an inaugural event it was outstanding in a beautiful location with perfect weather

Yup I was there and boy The Drag-ens HRC did a superb job on running the event. Great location,cold beer on tap and I couldn't fault it in any way.Even got to catch up with a bud from The Road Devils,Gino in his 30 coupe,whom I haven't seen for over 25 years since we moved to NZ. Well done Drag-ens you did good and see y'all again next year,,cheers

 

I ran my 30 Coupe,That was the best thing that I have done in a long time, if not ever,Congrats to The Dragens HRC for putting on the event.................

 

Was great to catchup Sharpie, man I had some fun on that beach........

 

yeah I believe that because every time I saw you on the beach you had a smile like a cat in a fish shop,,, Was a good catch up. Next year we will stay at the camp grounds just to rawk you aussies up,,lol

Politics prevent such goings on here on the west coast any more, as witnessed by the guys here in Santa Maria...

 

Money tight this year and no car ready but looks to be a great event to stay. Might see 100mph records like Pendine.
Great to see so many early style cars together.

 

I don't think you will see 100 mph on sand in an eighth mile. They were very careful not to call it "racing".

 

A bit more sand than Wildwood, and a bit dryer than Pismo Beach. Looked like a great event.

Pendine Sands here in UK for the VHRA event might have the history, but you've definitely got the better scenery (and weather)
