Event Coverage 2017 MSRA Back To The 50's St. Paul, Minnesota June 23, 24, 25

Leaving Kansas City in the morning.
Idle issue fixed and we put about 800 miles on the new engine while on the power tour. We are staying in Roseville at the Fairfield inn.

I love the sound of flatheads in the morning. Back To The 50s 2017 is on! Weather is gorgeous and this place is already wall to wall hot rods. Gotta be over 10,000 cars in here already and gates opened an hour and a half ago.

 

theres a row of hotels lined up & down 494 in bloomington. (thats where mpls intl airport is) i think they fill up pretty fast, starting around may when pre registration ends. there are a few car rental places like hertz on 494 & portland just west of the airport.
the show is only a 15 minute drive by freeway from the airport. unfortunately its construction season, so be prepared for that

 

Spent 2 days detailing the car...wife was not impressed...but the hot rod was clean



Went to the south registration puck up location in Eagan which was great. No lines and no traffic jams. However not nearly as many cars to look at.

So I was haulin my hot rod home on an open trailer (2 seater...family of 4) so my pickup was necessary. We came upon Kindigit on the Interstate. Kevdogg was driving, we both gave each other a thumbs up out our windows and a honk. It was pretty cool. It's great to be surrounded by people that are into cars.
