I finished making my mom's car a runner, driver. I started on this project before my dad passed in 2012. now I am back on my 48 that I brought home in 2014.
The brown 58 has been repainted, they didn't have those colors at that time and you can also see the gray primer through the chips in the paint. Chevy didn't use gray primer on their cars.
Squirrel is absolutely correct. 58 was repainted in the late 70's then again in the early 80's. My Dad did both paint jobs. This was their daily, and it went everywhere. When it is painted next time it will go back to original Aztec gold.
It's been a great year. Retired in June. Started on the T Coupe that I have been gathering parts for since 2011. I have become realistic. I started selling some stuff off instead of adding to the pile including an OT car that I do not have time for. It's amazing, when you start putting projects together, you see what you can live without.
WELL, it's been 27 long years and tomorrow i will pick up my finished dream project from trim shop. started in 1990, completly scratch built alum. bodied car, came out awsom, my ideaL 50'S SPORTS CAR . will try to do build on here when i learn, most people waiting for the finish have died.
Swapped 36 Cabriolet for this 32 Victoria built in '85 by the Baxter Ford boys. In process of insulation and new upholstery. Love having a steel lid over my head.
