Here are some of the photos I took at the Portland Roadster show 2016 version yesterday. All in all I thought the general quality of all vehicles shown was higher than normal with very few "filler" cars in the show. A ton of OT cars along with some nice traditional cars but the quality of the majority of the ot cars be they customs, modified street or restored super cars was reasonably high. Rat rods were noticeably absent along with not one Yellow American Grafitti clone in the house for the first time in my memory from my trips to the roadster show.
Starting with the Orange Crate, maybe not 100% traditional but a freaking awesome rod that I first saw many years ago.

This 40 is another car out of Steve's Auto Restoration that we have watched go from a bare body on display at the Roadster show a few years ago to a finished car.

I've taken a lot of photos of the Mint T in the past couple of years but think this is one of my favorites. It does kind of sneak up on you.

I've got a soft spot for this one. I used to own one with the same color combo in the mid 60's that gave me some lifetime memories.

You could count the "patina" cars on one hand this year.

A bit of everything in it.

30 something years ago I had a Devin body that I wanted to build a car with but it caused me to itch so much I sold it.

Great pics!, not sure why you think the Orange crate is not 100% traditional. I believe its untouched since 1963. With only the motor being recently rebuilt.

Great pics, thanks for taking the time. The cream/yellow shoebox Ford sure looks like a Winfield paint job. Nice rendering!

Thanks for your pictures. I'm not sure I'm following your comment below. What would possibly make the Orange Crate untraditional? -EM
