    So are you a Hot Rodder or a Street Rodder?.....As that is a Very good looking street rod in your avatar, Hard to tell really as my eyes are not what they once were But it looks like a pretty nice dressed SBC in it as well. So what brand of Wax do you carry in your trunk?.....LOL I am just poking friendly fun with you. I think alot of people don't know what a street rod is. I think someone told them that a street rod is a car that has Boyd wheels and is painted like an easter egg, And that is just not true. Also the reason you don't need any tools in your trunk when you have a SBC up front is because the SBC is probably the most reliable OHV engine ever made for the street, Or Nascar Racing......Hence the reason So many people have them in their cars. I have Street rods and Hot rods and none of them have Boyd wheels and None of them look like easter eggs.

    There's a cluster of hotels about 14 miles east at I-64 and Blankenbaker Parkway that may have some rooms, if anyone's still looking.

    I'm anxious to see how the new tent rules turn out?

  5. We're all holding our breath. It's gotta be a cluster. Wonder who's getting the money from the tent permits? Tim

  6. My son and I are heading out before sun up on Wednesday morning. Should put us there by dinner time. We will be hanging out at Tent City! :)

    Where does one find the so called Tent Rules on the NSRA website?

  10. I heard they were in Street Scene, which I currently don't get. You would think they would be on there web site.

    I.rant, will you be in your coupe? You may not remember but we know each other. We usually host the HAMB get together up on the hill at the FrogFollies. I will be in my 57 pickup in my avatar. I usually park near the entrance to the MSRA Rod Shop (the junction heading to the swapmeet. Sam OkieTwister#1.jpg

    Sorry to post this but the Louisville extended weather forecast is for 40-60% chance of thunderstorms through Saturday. Looks as if a tent is the way to go.

    "Retrorod" posted this on the HAMB in 2006....

    Quote from Fred Offenhauser;
    "Street rods have a Chevy in front and a can of wax in the back...
    ....Hot Rods have a flathead in front and a box of tools in the back"

    I'll be there out in the field from the south wing. Look for 4 10x20 white tents with a teardrop trailer parked nearby flying the American flag and POW-MIA flag also. Stop by for a drink or just to shoot the breeze. Ask for Rich. Hope to meet some the members here.

    For those of you who plan on parking in the grass/dirt field behind the South Wing I'd rethink that decision. Kentucky has had quite a bit of rain the last few days and more rain is forecasted later this week. Just a light rain turns that field into a quagmire. I'd recommend finding a parking spot somewhere on the concrete rather then get involved in the mud and gumbo. Just saying.
