Event Coverage 2015 Washington state E vs W flathead run date

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Chris, Jul 14, 2015.

  1. We are a little late this year in organizing but we are having the run.

This is a reliability run for flathead powered cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc. Open to all makes, just has to be flathead powered. We changed the ending location last year and almost everyone loved it. The run will end at the Monitor Hot Rod Cafe in Monitor, WA (A few miles north of Wenatchee, WA). We had great weather last year, lets hope this year continues. The Hot Rod Cafe is a great location, with parking on the grass, great food, shade, river across the street and minutes from the town of Wenatchee or historic Levenworth. Hope to see you all there in with your flathead!

Hmmm ...thought maybe this wasn't to be. Well, good to know.

Now, to check the calendar.

  4. We will need to coordinate another rendezvous for us West Siders to meet up before making the trek Doug.

  5. Take plenty of photos for us displaced North Westerners who can't be there.

Same as last year Dan, 7:00 a.m. at McD's in Monroe. I'll try my best to be on time although my track record is a bit tainted.

  7. I was beginning to worry. Always planning on it.

Thanks for putting the run together again. It will be short drive for me to get there but I have a long way to go to get the coupe ready. It is nice to have a target date!

I'll be there most likely as a spectator camera in hand.
If you haven't been it's the most laid back car event on the planet. Rule of the day is you must have a flathead powered rig or park over --------------> there in the cheap seats with those other rigs that don't have a flathead. With that you get to see a lot of flathead powered cars that you will never see anywhere else.

Everything is in pieces, I have an old Ferrari with a flathead, will I be able to pull onto the grassy knoll? Engine boot doesn't open either, plus showing off an engine is so tacky

  25. I am getting ready! plan is to have it drivable by Wednesday.

    Hey speed barrons
You could always ride with me in a real flathead car and not have to be a poser for a change. And hotrd32 it's worth the drive to Monroe to see the scenery over Highway 2.
