Supposed to be announced at 5:45, at least that is what they planed.

  5. I think that is when the awards start - and it takes H O U R S to get through them all!

  6. Hard to believe the I.G. guys haven't reported in yet. Maybe they don't know yet??

See,flames were the hot ticket this year not repo Indy wheels.

  13. I was at the show, and I saw all of the cars up close. Whether you guys like it or not, the right car won. About an hour before the awards ceremony, Bobby gave us a personal tour of the car, and explained all of the details. I stuck my head in every corner of the car, and couldn't find a fault. The car is incredible and the attention to detail is off the charts.

Congrats to the Alloway team on a well deserved award!

From where I'm at, I don't agree with the Winner! But, I wasn't there, and my opinion don't matter!

Really? Well, I guess if it was the most well built car.

  18. That was my pick, or maybe the 36. Nothing else really had any "WOW" factor.

  20. My thoughts exactly, Alloway builds awesome cars but that roadster looks like the other '33 Ford's he has built over the last 20 years.

I was at the show also and that one was not even in my top 3 picks. In my opinion wrong car one again! It is a nice car just not the best!

I get hung up on the word "Beautiful" . It seems the judging is more suited to Americas "Best" Roadster. Nothing wrong with the Alloway car it's a cool car, beautiful wouldn't be the first word that comes to mined (maybe "bitchin"). Other cars in the running were beautiful, but maybe didn't have the best fit, finish, etc.

Yeah, Everyone will have their own opinion on it, that`s for sure. If you take pieces of each car that you really like, they will give you ideas you can use. The best `part` for me is the Stainless top on the Mike McKennett built 32 Roadster. That top was built by my Metalshaping Hero, Cass Nawrocki, and is perfect. It is also the most difficult thing I have ever seen done,( Metalworking Stainless Sheet is almost Impossible!!!) and it is PERFECT! So I take those cars and pick stuff I appreciate and like. The car with the `best bits` arranged in a way that appeals can be `Your Own Winner` and since we didn`t all muscle our way on to the Judging Panel...that`s about all you can do...

I would have Voted for the 36, though.....probably....

First reaction after seeing the above photo is length of the doors, they've been stretched haven't they? Good looking car, but I'd picked the '36 based on the photos here. Bob
