Here are my photos from Billetproof NW that I took Saturday. We got a late start heading out and didn't make it there until after 12 and seeing some of the other photos a bunch of cars had already headed to town to find the prime parking spots for the cruise night. Here are some that I took and the link to around 450 something photos in my album. When I got there these gents were having a big discussion on what they were going to look at.
Matching mohawks Shrunken patina car This could have been called the NW Gasser Nationals with plenty packing rollbars along with the look and the power. Hamber's Buick Great stance on this A Packs a punch too
Long rood hiding in the shade Where are they? We are going to be late for cruise night Way back in the barn I found this little Chevy A peek inside the Chopped Maroon Merc Always wanted a genuine Bob Jasper Bitchin Stitchin interior? Here it is in his 57 he has for sale. Man on a mission, The Kettle Korn was selling good Lime green works on this
Who needs crybaby dolls when you have stuffed roosters? Must be a street gasser, no roll bar visible He thought he hid it where we couldn't find it I'll park in front of the restrooms so everyone will be and sure and see my truck. The Poks hard at work at the gate and they did a great job Ready for salmon fishing on the sound, twin poles and a swim deck to boot. I had to stretch the photo to get it all in. One of my all time favorite AD trucks. It's been around for years and still looks great. My choice for the coolest bike there. Not the wildest or fanciest but it just was so right Nice bobber truck with a ton of nifty details. Who needs chrome, aluminum or fake Olds or Caddy when you can detail valve covers like this? Well detailed inside too Babydoll blue 57 Tudor spin your wheels? Or need more room for the kids and dogs? Sedan or wagon 57 Ford Tudors are on my like list. About the only rust you will see in my photos but what a brute of a car that looks like it will eat gasser poser's lunch money right now
Microvan hiding from flower people Sweet little Chevy hardtop. They just don't need a lot to look great Easy to park this one. Ya gotta know, my camera finds all of the AD trucks You could make three pulls for 100 bucks on the dyno trailer and have real bragging rights or go home with your tail between your legs
Hamber's rig Don't need no shade thingie Want it to look bagged? stick two kids in the trunk What a Hamber, right in the big middle of the photo lol The Aussie I used to have would have loved this Betties all over the place, They may have outnumbered the cars One of several clean shoeboxes 59 Chevys may have outnumbered gassers Interior in the chopped Chevy ragtop
Borderline not being Hamb friendly but why don't more guys with those plain Jain early and mid 60's Fords go for a similar drag car look? It looks all business Some gal picked this one for the award she made. She liked the purple and metalflake. It always looks great every time I see it too. Old NW custom that morphed through a lot of changes. Someone said his son brought it this year.
Gotcha She's so fine****** Oh yea Interior needs work but the goodies are there Aces and Eights pick and well deserved I told him he would be famous
Back in the way cheap seats between the barns was a show in it's self where some of my favorites were hiding from the awards pickers. Brutal engine set back on the truck But it looked like it actually had foot room This 41 was hands down my favorite vehicle in the show. Great chop, fantastic color choice and right on interior. All I can say is wow.
Looks like one a buddy had in the mid 60's that he put a 352 and four speed in This 54 won the Custom award, It was built by Bill Ross years ago and still looks great. I remember helping push it on the trailer as a very unfinished car at the Unfinished Nationals one year when it was the T shirt car that year.
Bob Davidson was striping anything that would hold still long enough Paul Harper brought out his in progress 40 Sedan The latest Effort from the talented Bill Ross Need a really Narrow nine inch? Trailer Cruising My daughter's birthday present The Vett got the award for big thumping engine John and Trish headed out to cruise night. If you are ever on a boat and stuck in the Deception pass area you will probably meet them first hand as they have Vessel Assist in Cornett Bay. I was really taking a photo of the VW as it won an award but the Betties didn't have anything on this little guy's mom in her old jeans. Lots of parts for sale I passed on one of the wheels though. Just like my wall decoration in my garage. Nice 59 Ranchero Hamber One Crusty One owned Go anywhere any time truck. One Crusty one was cornered talking about his truck so much it took a while to get to visit with him. That's it the rest of my photos are here in my Photobucket album. http://s173.photobucket.com/user/mr48chev/library/Billetproof NW 2013 6 22 13?sort=2&page=1 We had a great time and made it home by dark for a change.
Tell John and trish that we get it-they have a police siren. That shit got old a few years ago, after about the 175th time they let it be heard.
At least he didn't take his canon and fire it off. He does tend to like to play with that siren though but most of the time I see them when we are away from Cornet Bay far enough that the Reo doesn't get to go as it won't fit on his boat.
Great to finally meet you Rob. Thanks for the visit. You captured tons of awesome images. Thanks for the pictures of my Army Truck. I was telling another 41-46 Chevy pickup owner how to do an Isuzu Frame under one of these trucks. one crusty one, Gary Estes, Issaquah Wa.
Aww. you guys are NO fun.... " If it's too LOUD, you're too old " as a retired firefighter that siren allways gives me a rush..... the jalopy has a cow call,an OOGah horn, an exaust whistle an flamethrowers, but NO overloud music, cepten twice pipes.. fun 4 me !! Capt'n Big John
