So it's that time again. HAMB calendar time... You supply the photos... I put it together... You buy one for everyone you know... Ryan gets the proceeds... and you get a kick ass calendar with images suitable for framing. Everyone wins. Previous calendars are collectors items now and the last 2 years, they have won an award, so... submit your work and get famous.

Here's the skinny. I need photos. Not your everyday run of the mill, this is my car at the local cruise night photos... Photos that when you look at them, you automatically get it. You know, that same feeling when you stop and just stare at your ride. The photos in the calendar are about passion... spreading the gospel. Think Garage magazine, Church magazine, etc.

Requirements: Post your submissions in this thread. You MUST have hi res version of the photo for it to be used. I've gotten some really unbelieveble photos in the past, but couldn't use them cause they were taken on the camera's lowest quality setting. That depresses me. And if you post a pic you thought was cool from the HAMB that you didn't take, then find out who took it and then post it. I'm not chasing people this year.

There's been rumblings of having a few pin up shots. That would be cool, but they have to be tasteful and artistic. This ain't Hustler.

Format: This year the cropped image will be somewhat squarish. Final art will be b/w. The calendar itself will be vertical. It will look a bit different this year. Probably not what you expect. We're printing a short run this year too. So they will go fast.

Post your pic here. If it gets selected, I will contact you for the hi rez.

    That's it. Impress me.

Deadline is October 31. I am a bit behind this year because of our impending parenthood. So I don't have time to screw around this year. By the time the deadline hits, I will have a 2 week old baby. So if I can't get ahold of you pretty quickly for your photo, I will move on.

off to a good start! Nice stuff Dreadman!

Now pay attention to Django kiddies... none of this "look at my pictures too" crap that usually finds its way into these posts. He's looking for good pictures! Artistic pictures!

Chad said it best... and it bears repeating...

"Photos that when you look at them, you automatically get it. You know, that same feeling when you stop and just stare at your ride. The photos in the calendar are about passion... spreading the gospel."

So post stuff that moves you to move us...

Hey Justin, it's probably not fair to post pics of 2 of my favorite cars. :D Hahaha!

Wow, looks like it's going to be tough this year.

Oh, if you could refrain from quoting pics in your replys, that will save me some headache and Ryan some bandwidth. Thanks.

Good luck with the calendar bro, it looks tough already. These pics arent the best, but they're 2 of my favorites of my 56 ford. I've never seen that car that dreadman put up. It's a good thing too, cause I'd get drool allover it...

  24. I love the HAMB calendar and I've bought every one. I'll continue that trend no matter what.

How about some ART in the calendar? The Friday Art Show is a big part of the HAMB IMO.

    Just thinkin' out loud here...

that's what I heard... but I have been buying the "abandoned autos" calender from Hemmings for the last decade and a half and don't need two. I just thought it wold be interesting to see who won and with what pics.
