Man if my car was in a little better shape I would be there... And if I had an extra 300 bucks or more for gas!
Start saving gas money......Hopefully I will have something finished by then. Too bad they couldn't have it end at the Lonestar Roundup.
We use to do something just like this on our bike and they change it every year, the use the tips of the stars and place it in different places and hit the points, the proof was getting a picture of you and you bike in fron of a sign or gov office. Sounds fun to me
Just to play devil's advocate.......... What do you get for the $32 entry fee if you are responsible for all lodging arrangements, eating establishments etc? Also there is corporate sponsorship. I like the concept a lot, just wondering what the fees go to cover? Someone had to ask.....
Lessee.... 1000 miles divided by my whopping 8 miles per equals 125 Gallons of gas. Premium is 4 bucks "ish" sooo....500 bucks to drive this, not counting gas to and from, lodging, food , and beer. Not to mention I would have to fill the car up 11 times, which means 11 gas station bathrooms, 11 dr.peppers, and 11 "that thing gawt a hemi in it?"'s Yeah...Day of the drags it is.Track burgers are waaay better than fried burritos any day. Besides, I understand the whole "it's not the destination, but the jorney" thing, but 1000 miles is a bit much.
