    What I'd be doing is locating some of that old heavy industrial metal shaping equipment, they had premium stuff in them old factories. I'd be finding & restoring all I could to ship back here instead of a car.

    I'm form Russia but live in Finland now. Old Harleys are hard to find there these days. And if you want a Volvo you should come to Finland or get it shipped from Sweden.

    For those that have no plans to go to Denmark to buy stuff, should still go in and look at the prices we pay for stuff.
    Just for the kick of it.

    Nyeste annoncer = newest adds
    Salgs annoncer = for sale adds
    Biler = cars
    Dele = parts
    And
    Lastbiler = truck over 3.5 tons total weight.

    Just so you Americans can see what we pay for stuff. And if anybody falls in love give me a shout. I'm willing to drive and look at stuff.

    Check with Aeroglen here on the Hamb. He is a member from Saint Petersberg, Russia and seems to be in the scene over there.

    BTDT as an expat four times. Personally, I was able to buy a car and keep it at a bro's shop yard, bought parts and when I finally got back to the US, it was Christmas in July. It is the car in my avatar, runs, drives, stops, registered. Presently getting redone in my garage, because, hey, they are never done.

    I think that´s a Bosch distributor on the German built flatty, right? I´m glad you are having a good time this side of the pond:)
    As for a project, I have seen some Russian and Polish sellers of old American iron on the internet, so I guess there might be some stuff availible. But it is probably cheaper to buy your project on home turf unless you want to build a Euro or a Russian car. A guy from Berlin built a Russian Popeda ( or Pobjeda) some time ago, it looks similar to a smaller version of a late 40s, early 50 version of a Hudson.
    He chopped it and removed a ton of ugly, it turned out quite well!

    Actually, I don't believe any Harley WLA's ever made it to Russia during the war. Harley Davidson won the contract to supply the US army with the WLA. Indian Motocycle was chosen to supply allied armies with the 741 Scout through lend-lease. This included Russia, Australia, New Zealand and England.
    I have a 741 at home that came out of eastern Europe someplace. They are actually rather scarce here in the states.

    Stop dreaming about GAZ12 custom - it was the car built for government use only, thats why the big part of them was destroyed. It's very rare car now.I can advice you ti buy m20 "Pobeda", nice and cheap fastback, in Ukraine you can buy one for 1000$ only.
