Well guys and gals it is official, Mark you calender for May 15th, 2010 for the Texas Nostalgia Nationals held at the oldest operating dragstrip in Texas, Yello Belly Dragstrip in Grand Prairie, Tx. Been open since 1955 and man does it have a cool vibe.

There will be lots of details added of coarse as we iron them out but there is plenty of parking for hot rods, races cars, and vendors. hopefully within the next couple weeks the website will be fully up and running, etc

Have conformation from the Scorpion gang ,etc and a newly recreated fuel dragster being restored.

Of coarse we gotta keep it nostalgic so we are leaning to 64 but we are gonna allow up to 72, we will iron that out later as well as the classes

I am super stoked but wanted to get this post going, Please keep the bad cooments to yourself, We are gonna be the crowd at this event so there will be no problems.

    Woo hoo!!!!!:)

I'll do everything I can do to be there! I'm really stoked that ya'll got it worked out to do this at Yellow Belly. That track is one of the few left that has real history to it. It's great that the owners can see that we can bring old style racing to the track without some of the issues that have plagued it in the past.

Congrats to the Dirtys for what is sure to be a huge success!

    Not that it matters, but...

my vote would be for letting the muscle cars race and making it index racing. No electronics, timers, trans brakes etc. Heads up with a pro tree and half second indexes.

  20. Cool! Can't wait!

  21. Me too!!!
Rusty, this sounds like a real cool deal....
    1/4 mile:cool:???

hey RUSTY...man i hope you get to run rods up to 72, that allows most of the BIG block muscle cars in. and BUSARD you can forget about them not having electronics, trans. brakes, and the like. this is the big boys coming to dodge. and they won't have it! call me POP...or the old FART!

That's why they are usually left out of the traditional style events. They just don't seem to get it.
