I recently picked up a '85 buick lesabre I am going to use alot of parts off of for my 1950 chevy pickup, I have noticed that the carb on the 307 is electronic and I was wondering if I could swap to another 4bbl carb off of something esle to do away with the wiring and ecm. I know I will proably have to swap out the distbrutor also, what parts will work for this? Thanks in advance.

Use stuff from a pre-compuer olds, oldsmobile 350 stuff would probably work ok, 1980 or earlier should be what you want. HEI was used starting in 75, most GM engines went to computer controlled timing and carb in 81.
