History 1975 Street Racing Photos (good quality)

I think you guys will enjoy these pics. Legal street racing in B.C Canada from 1975. Cops allowed it and the Mayor even raced!!

What is that heavily textured top on the 66/67 GTO? Original?

 

1967 but it's the first top like that, that I have ever seen.

 

Great photos...it takes some guts to run a digger with no guardrails and narrow lanes.

No guardrails, but they made sure all spectators stood far from the road, unlike that fiasco last year involving a Pro-Mod and all those kids.

 

The photographer had 2 choices back then, a state of the art camera..Orrr wheels for his W31. He bought the Camera
