    City: Evergreen Park (Chicago suburb)

    State: Illinois
    Price: 4000
1965 Ford Econoline. I hate to relinquish this guy, but I'm moving and will have no place to store it or work on it. It still needs some work, but can be driven while you work on it. Almost all of the hard work, fabrication, and upgrades have been done. What's left is some body work, and I have most of the parts needed for that.

I took it drag racing a few years ago and realized the limitations of the "econo" part of "Econoline", so it now has a heavily reinforced frame, heavy duty springs, and driveshaft. :)

    The Good
    • 1989 Lincoln 302/5.0L HO v8
    • 3 speed heavy duty manual trans with new clutch and flywheel
    • Edelbrock aluminum intake
    • Edlebrock 4-barrel carb
    • Aluminum radiator & SPAL electric fan
    • Custom dual exhaust and ceramic-coated "chrome" headers
    • Dual master cylinder with all new brake lines
    • Disc brakes
    • POSI Ford 9-inch rear with 3.50 gears, rebuilt with new guts and new brakes
    • 4 metalflake vinyl tuck & roll bucket seats (2 in front, 2 in rear)
    • Rear tubs
    • Heavy duty driveshaft (see photo for comparison)
    • Heavy duty rebuilt rear springs on spring sliders
    • Heavy duty front springs (rebuilt, but not installed)
    • New heavy duty spring mounts
    • New suspension bushings
    • "Frame" reinforced with 5/16 plate from rear bumper to the middle of the van
    • (2) New gas tanks, with all new fuel lines
    • Carter electric fuel pump and regulator
    • All new wiring harness from Rebel Wire installed
    • Fresh king pins
    • 2 Cragar GT wheels (rare)
    • 4 original steel wheels
    • 6 ET Mags (2 Ford and 4 unilug pattern)
    • Inner rockers replaced recently; outer panels replaced by a previous owner.
    • Spare, rust-free front doors, front rocker units, and wheel tubs
    • NOS Ford "Western" side mirrors
    • Stewart-Warner Greenline gauges (Oil pressure, Voltmeter, Water temp)
    • Pop-out rear windows
    • 3-point chrome lift-latch seat belt for driver
    • Front and rear accessory heaters
    • Coil-over rear shocks
    • New '50 Pontiac tail lights
    • Metalflaked tach on the dash
    • Vintage kit for mounting a Superior steering wheel
    • Clean Illinois title
    • Runs & drives great, sounds MEAN!!
    • I can help arrange a trailer & driver for delivery if not too far away
    The Bad & The Ugly
    • It's not done, but could easily be driven while you finish it
    • The rockers (below front doors) are rusty, but I have rust-free replacements (inner & outer) for both sides.
    • The tubs below the front seats need repairs, but I have replacements
    • The front floor needs a few minor patches. The middle is in good shape, and patching by the rear doors was started, but needs to be finished.
    • The lower panels were replaced by a previous owner and smoothed with Bondo, so not ideal, but the metal is good (you can see it in the interior photos)
    • The rear doors need to be aligned
    • The new rear panel is only partially installed
    • The custom dual exhaust interferes with the relocated spring perches. There are several ways to remedy this, all of them very easy.
    • Also due to the spring relocation/tubs the gas tank filler has some interference. Again, there are several easy ways to correct this and 2 new tanks are included to broaden your options.
    • It needs a bath
More photos here, some are from a few years ago. I have TONS more in case you want to see progress pics, or do a search for my Wam Bam Thank You Van build logs & v8 swap tutorials on the HAMB.

    Price dropped to $4000.
I fixed the exhaust, and will have it drivable again this weekend.
Needs to be gone before October.
