Here is the 425 nailhead engine. The numbers matched but the heads were red under the blue paint (66 heads) and .030 overbore when it was pulled back in May of 2012, it looked like a fresh build from the outside( new paint) but you never know, pulled heads off , looked pretty fresh.

Heads have 3 coats of Por-15 Ford red engine enamel, now time to prep the block, ran out of paint need to order more.looks real glossy and thick. This red will match up real nice with the pinstripe on the inside of the engine bay.

In its stock form over two years ago, the tranformation to what I invision will be quite drastic but subtle.

I've liked them 'ol Riviera's since seeing them on the dealership floors when I was a kid. They looked like they were hauling ass even when sitting still. Your car looks like its gonna be top notch! Subscribed.

Since the body shop is taking thier time Im going to add the front grill for them to paint and clear all the vertical lines gloss black. working on the rear bumper and turn signal lights, cut outs for the rear bumper rectangular stainless slanted tips. On the turn signal Im going to cut off the vetical lines and add two horizontal lines for a total of 3 slats then heve them chromed add sequential lights to them and maybe even have 3 polished stainless horizontal slats added to the exhust tips.

Hey Snake, love the build on your Riv, lots of nice details. Who did the power sunroof install for you, I like the looks of it and its factory feel.

Kustombuick, in California they customize a lot of lowriders, I asked this cholo where hehad his sunroof done. The place is called Sunroof Performers in south gate California. This type was called a factory bend, using a used GM sunroof from a earlier model and they cut your top an inch smaller than the sunroof, there is jigs used and chilled then bent down and the sunroof is installed from under. Thus calling it a factory bend.

Cleaned block, painted with ford TBird red POR -15 brush on 3 coats , chased all hole treads , replaced main seals with new neoprene rubber instead of the old rope seals, torqued cap bolts cleaned and rebuilt oil pump, sequenced torqued heads and installed cam. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg
